Have adware or spyware hijacked your web browser?

Spyware and Adware are a threat to your privacy—and a pain in the ass!

Shooter.net is advertising free.

I’ve heard reports of some users of Shooter.net experiencing popup ads.. Some visitors to my site are seeing obnoxious popup ads for gay porn sites. While I have nothing against porn, or gay porn (hey, if you like porn, that’s fine by me...), it is absolutely not my intention to align myself with that industry. I have no connection to any porn sites at all.

If you are seeing popup ads while visiting my site, I assure you that they are not coming from shooter.net. You are likely the victim of adware/spyware. Rather than doing a poor job of explaining, I’ll point you at a link that describes what Spyware and Adware are and software to get rid of them. Please follow that link to educate yourself on this very real threat to your privacy and how to remove these vile little programs from your computer. It angers me greatly that my visitors and my website are being targeted by these leeches of the Internet.

I apologize for any rude or otherwise irritating popup ads that you may see while surfing the net. However since I have no control over these ads, and they are not coming from my site or any action on my part, I can’t do anything about it. There have been legal challenges to this “web browser hijacking of these companies, but I as a starving photographer don’t have the resources to mount a court fight..
